Various Development Projects Coming Up In Dhanbad

  • Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi dedicates multiple development projects worth Rs 35,700 crores in Sindri, Dhanbad, and Jharkhand. 
  • The projects include fertilizer, rail, power, and coal sectors. 
  • The Prime Minister inspected the HURL Model and took a walkthrough of the Sindri Plant Control Room. 
  • The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of the Sindri Fertilizer Plant and the revival of Ramagundam, Gorakhpur, and Barauni fertilizer plants. 
  • The Prime Minister also announced the start of the Varanasi – Kolkata – Ranchi Expressway in Varanasi, which will boost regional connectivity to Jharkhand and accelerate economic development. 
  • The Prime Minister stressed the importance of making India a developed nation by 2047 and highlighted India’s growing potential and fast-paced development. 
  • The Prime Minister also dedicated the land of Bhagwan Birsa Munda as a source of energy for the resolutions of Viksit Bharat. 
  • The Prime Minister also dedicated the Hindustan Urvarak & Rasayan Ltd (HURL) Sindri Fertiliser Plant, a step towards self-sufficiency in the Urea Sector. 
  • The Prime Minister also dedicated several rail projects worth more than Rs 17,600 Crore in Jharkhand, including the 3rd & 4th Lines connecting Sone Nagar-Andal, Tori-Shivpur first & second and Biratoli- Shivpur third railway line, Mohanpur – Hansdiha new rail line, and Dhanbad-Chandrapura rail line. 
  • The Prime Minister also dedicated important power projects in Jharkhand, including Unit 1 (660 MW) of North Karanpura Super Thermal Power Project (STPP), Chatra.
