Raghanesda Solar Plant Commissioned By SJVN

  • SJVN Limited has commissioned its 100 MW Raghanesda Solar Power Station in Banaskatha, Gujarat. 
  • The project is expected to generate 252 million units of energy in the first year and 5,805 million units over 25 years. 
  • The power generated will be supplied to Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) for 25 years under a Power Purchase Agreement signed in January 2022.
  • With this project, SJVN’s installed capacity increases to 2,377 MW. 
  • SJVN Green Energy Limited secured the project at a tariff of Rs. 2.64 per unit through tariff-based Competitive Bidding conducted by GUVNL. 
  • The project will contribute significantly to the Renewable Energy Goals of Gujarat and foster energy security in the region. 
  • SJVN Limited, a listed entity, aims to achieve a Shared Vision of 25,000 MW installed capacity by 2030 and 50,000 MW installed capacity by 2040.
