Jamaat-E-Islami Jammu Kashmir Is a Terrorist Organisation ‘Unlawful Association’

  • The Indian government has extended the ban on ‘Jamaat-e-Islami Jammu Kashmir’ for five years. 
  • The ban is a continuation of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s zero-tolerance policy against terrorism and separatism. 
  • Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Shri Amit Shah, stated that the organization continues to promote terrorism and anti-India propaganda. 
  • The ban was imposed on February 28, 2019, and has led to numerous criminal cases against the organization and its members.
