IoT and Graphene Programs Launched In Kerala

  • By the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India.
  • Two flagship programs – “Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Intelligent Internet of Things (IIoT) Sensors” and “India Innovation Centre for Graphene (IICG)”.
  • Digital University Kerala (DUK) (formerly IIITMK) and Centre for Materials for Electronics Technology (CMET) -Thrissur are the technical partners.
  • Facility for R&D, incubation, innovation, Skilling, capacity building, testing & certification shall be established here.

CoE:

  • Established in Makers Village, Kochi.
  • By MeitY, GoI and Govt. of Kerala to catalyse the development of sensors in Intelligent IoT systems covering networks, devices and sensor systems.

IICG:

  • India’s first Graphene Centre.
  • Established at Makers Village Kochi.
  • By MeitY, GoI and Govt. of Kerala along with Tata Steel Limited.
  • To foster R&D, product innovation and capacity building in the area of Graphene and 2D material systems.
