International Women’s Day Celebrated In India

  • The theme of the day is “Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress,” emphasizing the need to invest in women’s health and education, and fostering an environment that encourages women to excel. 
  • The Department of Science and Technology (DST) celebrated the day at its premises at Technology Bhavan, New Delhi, emphasizing the importance of investing in women’s health, and education, and fostering an environment that encourages women to put in their best. 
  • The event included sessions on women’s well-being and the entrepreneurial journey of women in developing knowledge-based start-ups. 
  • The sessions highlighted the importance of focusing on women’s physical and mental well-being, maintaining work-life balance, and prioritizing self-care and healthy lifestyles. 
  • A film on “Nari Shakti at DST” was created and unveiled, and a poster on women’s participation in STEM was launched. 
  • A dental health check-up camp was organized by the Maulana Azad Institute of Dental Sciences (MAIDS) for oral hygiene.
