International Meeting for Collaboration in Hydrogen Technology Held in India

  • The meeting, organized as IPHE Academic Outreach at IIT Delhi, focuses on the future of hydrogen and fuel cell technologies. 
  • The meeting’s inaugural session was attended by the Principal Scientific Advisor, Govt. of India, Prof. Ajay Sood, who highlighted the need for collaboration to make hydrogen more economical and cleaner. 
  • The meeting also highlighted the importance of skill development and R&D in the sector. 
  • The meeting also highlighted the role of academia and research institutes in facilitating energy transition and the development of the hydrogen sector. 
  • The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi has been involved in the R&D of hydrogen vehicles for the past two decades. 
  • The meeting also featured two-panel discussions: “Empowering Expertise: Cultivating Skill Development in the Clean / Green Hydrogen Arena” and “Unveiling the Future: Clean / Green Hydrogen Technologies and Its Transformative Applications.” 
  • The IPHE, established in 2003, comprises 23 member countries and the European Commission, dedicated to advancing hydrogen and fuel cell technologies globally.
