India, Singapore Sign MoU in Legal Sector

  • India and Singapore have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation in law and dispute resolution. 
  • The agreement was signed in a virtual meeting between the Minister of State for Law and Justice, Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, and the Minister for Culture, Community and Youth and Second Minister for Law, Mr Edwin Tong. 
  • The MoU focuses on further cooperation in areas of common interest such as international commercial dispute resolution, promoting robust alternative dispute resolution mechanisms, and establishing a Joint Consultative Committee. 
  • The collaboration aims to harness synergies between the two countries’ legal regimes, leverage their strengths, and explore innovative approaches to address the evolving needs of citizens and businesses.
