India Completes Trilateral Naval Exercise at Mozambique

  • The exercise emphasized enhanced maritime cooperation and interoperability between India, Mozambique, and Tanzania. 
  • INS Tir and Sujata participated in the exercise from 21-28 Mar 24. 
  • The exercise was divided into two phases: the harbour phase (21-24 Mar 24) and the sea phase (24 Mar 24). 
  • The harbor phase involved training sessions on Visit, Board, Search, and Seizure (VBSS), Damage Control and Fire fighting Drills, communication procedures, and medical lectures. 
  • The sea phase involved joint operations with the Mozambique Naval ship Namatili and the Tanzanian naval ship Fatundu. 
  • The closing ceremony at Nacala, Mozambique, highlighted successful collaboration and shared objectives. 
  • The ships also held official and training exchanges, cross-deck visits, sports fixtures, and yoga.
