ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Will Have Usain Bolt as Ambassador

  • Yuvraj Singh, India’s former champion, has been named as an ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 Ambassador. 
  • Singh, who hit 36 runs in an over during India’s successful Men’s T20 World Cup 2007 campaign, will attend World Cup promotional events in the United States. 
  • Singh, who also won the 2007 T20 World Cup, expressed excitement about being part of the biggest edition yet. 
  • ICC General Manager – Marketing & Communications, Claire Furlong, praised Singh’s role as synonymous with the T20 World Cup. 
  • The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup will be played from 1-29 June, with 55 matches played by 20 teams across 9 venues. 
  • The historic first match at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium will be played on 3 June between 2014 champions Sri Lanka and South Africa.
