C-DOT and IIT-K Sign Agreement for 10-Gigabit-Capable Optical Network Development

  • C-DOT and IIT-K have signed an agreement for developing prototypes for a 10-gigabit-capable symmetric passive optical network. 
  • The agreement is part of the Telecom Technology Development Fund (TTDF) scheme of the Department of Telecommunications, Government of India. 
  • The project aims to design, develop, and commercialize a state-of-the-art 10 Gbps upstream and downstream access network technology solution. 
  • The project aims to facilitate the growth of affordable broadband and mobile services in India.
