Brief Report Of RPF’s Important Operation 

RPF RESPONSIBILITY

  • Provides safe, secure and comfortable travel experience to the passengers.
  • Provides safe freight transport service
  • protects huge assets of railways spread across the country by taking preventive security measures and by detecting crime against railway property

BRIEF ACHIEVEMENTS DURING THE MONTH OF SEPTEMBER 2023

Operation Nanhe Faristey:-

  • Reuniting children lost/separated due to several reasons from their family.
  • More than 895 Children (Boys-573 & Girl-322) in need of care & protection who came in contact with Indian Railways were rescued and handed over to concerned authorities before being restored to their families.

OPERATION AAHT:-

  • Counter evil plans of Human traffickers
  • Anti-Human Trafficking Units are in regular touch with agencies and NGOs involved in preventing human trafficking
  • 29 persons were rescued with the arrest of 14 traffickers.

OPERATION JEEVAN RAKSHA:-

Lives of 265 passengers saved who had come close to getting run over by trains, at platforms and railway tracks

OPERATION MERI SAHELI:-

  • To provide security to lady passengers in long-distance trains, particularly those travelling alone or those who are vulnerable to crime.
  • 231 Meri Saheli teams attended 13071 trains and provided security assurance to 421198 lady passengers
  • Took action against the 6033 persons who were travelling in the coaches reserved for the ladies

OPERATION “UPLABDH”:-

  • 405 nos. of the touts were arrested and legal action was taken against them as per law and future tickets valued at Rs. 36.43 lacs were seized.

OPERATION “NARCOS”:-

  • 70 persons have been arrested along with the seizure of NDPS valued at Rs.2.65 Crores

OPERATION ‘YATRI SURAKSHA’:-

  • Redress security-related complaints of passengers in distress and for immediate assistance
  • On Rail Madad Portal or through helpline No. 139 (integrated with Emergency Response Support System No. 112).
  • More than 28000 complaints were received and appropriate action was taken
