AYUSH-ICMR Advanced Centre for Integrated Health Research Launched

  • Dr Mansukh Mandaviya, Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare, launched the AYUSH-ICMR Advanced Centre for Integrated Health Research in AIIMS. 
  • The strategic collaboration between AYUSH and ICMR aims to advance Integrative Health Research, integrate traditional AYUSH practices with modern medical science, and take India to the forefront of holistic healthcare innovations. 
  • The initiative includes a multicentre clinical trial on anemia and the launch of Indian Public Health Standards (IPHS) for AYUSH healthcare facilities. 
  • The Union Health Minister also inaugurated the 27th convocation of Rashtriya Ayurveda Vidyapeeth and the 29th National Seminar on ‘Ayurvedo Amritanam’. 
  • The AYUSH-ICMR Advanced Centre for Integrative Health Research aims to develop integrative health research through integrating the AYUSH system with conventional bio-medicine, and modern technology. 
  • The objectives of the AYUSH-ICMR Advanced Centre for Integrative Research include harnessing the mutual understanding and research environment between different systems of medicine, identifying priority areas where the approach of integrative medicine may have potential, developing integrative management protocols, carrying out mechanistic studies to explain the integrative medicine approach, and developing guidelines and pathways to facilitate cross-referrals utilizing the integrative medicine approach.
  • Four AIIMS will host these advanced centers: AIIMS Delhi, AIIMS Jodhpur, AIIMS Nagpur, and AIIMS Rishikesh.

 

Indian Public Health Standards for AYUSH Healthcare Facilities 

 

  • Aims to establish uniform standards and quality in infrastructure, human resources, and medicines. 
  • Aims to enhance preventive, promotive, curative, palliative, and rehabilitative services within public health. 
  • Incorporates Pluralism as a key principle in the National Health Policy (NHP) 2017.

 


Inauguration of Rashtriya Ayurveda Vidyapeeth and National Seminar 

 

  • Around 201 shishyas enrolled under Guru Shishya Parampara to be awarded CRAV certificate. 
  • Presents Fellow of RAV awards and Lifetime Achievement award to eminent vaidyas. 
  • Welcoming ceremony for new CRAV students for the 2024-25 batch. 
  • Two-day National Seminar on “Ayurveda Amritanam” Ayurveda for One Health/Post Covid health management/Immunity through Ayurveda.
