Key Objectives:

  • To have a deeper understanding of the complexities of tribal traditions and culture.
  • To explore the challenges to tribal existence.
  • To explore tribal identity.
  • To realise tribal contributions.

About The Program:

  • Will familiarize the tribal communities with the statistical input of India and the Constitutional safeguards.
  • To unfold nuances of the Panchayats (Extension of Scheduled Areas) (PESA) Act, 1996, the Forest Rights Act (FRA), 2006, Prevention of SC/STs Atrocities Act, 1989.
  • To provide valuable insights into the legal frameworks that shape tribal and land rights.
  • Deeper understanding of tribal people.
  • Representatives of Munda communities from 5 states (Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Odisha and Assam) participated.
  • Visit to Kala Nidhi and the Tribal Museum to be led by the NTRI.
