3 New CIPET Centres Inaugurated In HP, Jharkhand and MP

  • Union Minister of Chemicals and Fertilisers and Health and Family Welfare, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, inaugurated three new CIPET centers in Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, and Madhya Pradesh. 
  • The three new CIPET centers are CSTS Baddi (Himachal Pradesh), CSTS, Ranchi (Jharkhand), and CSTS Gwalior (MP). 
  • The Minister highlighted the transformation of CIPET institutes to meet the needs of the 21st century, focusing on providing skilled manpower, research, and production. 
  • Mandaviya stated that CIPET has shifted its focus from certificate and diploma courses to undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD level courses. 
  • The institute has also initiated research in solar cells, gas separation, water purification, and polymer research. 
  • The CIPET Baddi Centre was established in 2016 and is currently running on a makeshift campus provided by the State Government. 
  • The CIPET Gwalior Centre was established in 2017 and functions on the allocated land. 
  • The Centre is equipped with requisite machinery and equipment and is currently conducting Skill Development training programs and Diploma programs.
