1st Future LABS Center of India Inaugurated To Develop Semiconductor Industry

  • The center, “Centre for Semiconductor Chips & Systems for Strategic Electronics,” will catalyze an ecosystem for next-generation chip design, manufacturing, and research. 
  • Collaborations were announced between C-DAC (T) and the Ministry of Railways for the development of electric locomotive technologies. 
  • An MoU was signed between C-DAC (T) and Tata Power for the development and deployment of microgrid technologies. 
  • The technology of the electric vehicle wireless charger developed by C-DAC (T) and VNIT Nagpur, developed by C-DAC (T) and VNIT Nagpur, was transferred to BelRise Industries Limited. 
  • The Minister addressed over 100 students and explained the opportunities provided by the center. 
  • He emphasized the need for collaborations and initiatives due to India’s significant strides in semiconductors and the accelerating pace of digitization and digital technologies. 
  • Industry partners highlighted the success of the collaboration with C-DAC and pledged to continue supporting Kerala’s tech innovation ecosystem.
