15 National Highway Projects Inaugurated In HP

  • Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways, Shri Nitin Gadkari inaugurated 15 National Highway projects and 1 Ropeway project in Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh.
  • The projects include the construction of the Theog bypass, a 196m long bridge, and a 225m long Dhaliyara bridge. 
  • Other projects include road construction, an 8km long missing link, and cable Stay Bridge, a 2km long bridge from Mohal to the Bijli Mahadev Temple, and a ropeway. 
  • The projects aim to reduce the distance from Hamirpur to Mandi by 15 km and improve connectivity in areas like Tauni Devi, Awahdevi, Sarkaghat, Dharampur, and Darlaghat Cement Factory and AIIMS Bilaspur. 
  • The ropeway project will reduce the journey to the pilgrimage site Bijli Mahadev from 2 hours 30 minutes to about 7 minutes, providing all-weather connectivity to 36000 pilgrims daily.
